1. Squeeze
TPEE can be extruded into sheets, pipes, rods and wire jackets with ordinary plastic extruders. General gradient screw can be used, the length-diameter ratio is ≥24:1, and the compression ratio is (2.7-4):1.
2. Injection molding
Products of various shapes and sizes can be processed using injection molding technology. It is preferable to use a reciprocating screw injection machine because it can obtain a temperature uniform melt. The groove depth is gradual, the recommended compression ratio is 3.0-3.5, the screw length-diameter ratio (18-24): 1; the injection pressure is 80-120MPa, and the slow to medium speed injection is used.
3. Blow molding
Blow molding requires resins with high melt viscosity and melt strength. Applying the polymer extrusion chemical chain extension technology, the special segment blocks are entered into the TPEE molecular chain to prepare high-viscosity TPEE, which is suitable for blow molding of large special parts (such as engine air intakes).
4. Other molding processes
TPEE is also suitable for processes such as rotational molding and fusion casting. For example, balls, small pneumatic tubeless tires, etc. are all processed by the rotomolding process. Fusion casting has the advantages of low processing cost and good dimensional stability of the product.
