TPEE stands for Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer, which is a type of thermoplastic elastomer that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. It is known for its excellent elasticity, chemical resistance, and durability, making it suitable for various applications in industries such as automotive, electronics, and consumer goods.

Thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE), also known as polyester rubber, is a linear block copolymer that contains hard segments of PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) polyester and soft segments of aliphatic polyester or polyether.

Thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE), also known as polyester rubber, is a linear block copolymer containing PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) polyester hard segments and aliphatic polyester or polyether soft segments. TPEE combines the excellent elasticity of rubber with the processability of thermoplastic plastics, with adjustable hardness and design freedom. It is a new type of thermoplastic elastomer that has attracted much attention.
In 1972, DuPont in the United States and Toyobo in Japan were the first to develop TPEE, marketed under the names Hytrel and Pelprene, respectively. Subsequently, major companies around the world, such as Hochest-Celanese, GE, Eastman, and AKZO (DSM), developed various brands of TPEE products, with brand names such as Ritefex, Lomod, Ecdel, and Arnitc. Domestic TPEE has also developed its own brands. The Nantai brand TPEE developed by Wuhan Southeast Xiangtai Company has also received good reviews in the domestic market.
Compared to rubber, thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) has better processing performance and a longer service life; compared to engineering plastics, it also has the characteristics of high strength, good flexibility, and excellent dynamic mechanical properties. For most applications, TPEE can be used directly. If there are special requirements, corresponding additives can be added to meet those requirements.
